Lessons
Grand Valley Equestrian runs a high caliber competitive jumping lesson program. Our program has been developed with the understanding that most of our students have a competitive end goal.
We work based on the individual goals of both horse and rider and have a strong emphasis on communication both in and out of the show ring.
We strive for a horse forward approach, considering correct equitation for the rider.
Training
We take a full body approach in our horse training. Once your horse is a part of our program, we design a custom training plan based on the needs of the horse, and the long term goals of the rider. With access to our team, your horse will be optimized for success. This success stems from creating a cohesion between ride-ability and performance and is demonstrated through past graduates. Having clear, practiced and proven methods, and continuing to work in line with the individual horse’s talents, has allowed us to help create champions.

We run a competitive English riding lesson program, only taking in a limited number of students at a time to ensure focus, enthusiasm and quality.

Our Lesson Horse Program
Our lesson horse program is designed for the rider to be exposed to the competitive hunter, jumper, equitation world to the Elk Valley. Our riders are dedicated, riding twice a week. Our elite program, allows the rider exposure to a professional, quality coaching environment that is unique for a “Lesson Horse Program.” Alicia and Christine continue to support local groups and stables around Fernie, which grants access to Grand Valley Equestrian riders to clinics, shows, and seminars.
